Inheritance of resistance to maize dwarf mosaic virus in corn (Zea mays L.).

Eight corn inbreds and 28 Fl's were used to study the inheritance of resistance to maize dwarf mosaic virus (MDMV) in Korea. Corn plants were inoculated with MDMV strain B at 4 leaf stage (23 days after emergence) and two MDMV ratings were made at 29 days and 58 days (15 days after silking) after inoculation, respectively. No differences were observed between the two rating times in the resistance for both inbreds and hybrids, the effects of combining ability, the effects of dominance and the dominance order of inbreds in Vr, Wr graps for MDMV.
