The activity of the fungicides Ridomil 25 WP, Ridomil plus 50 WP, Ridomil combi 60 WP, Curzate 50 WP + Dithane M-45, Curzate 50 WP + Orthophaltan 50 WP and CO (4.8% cymoxanil + 80% copper oxichloride) was evaluated on some important bioedaphic processes such as: organic matter decomposition and mineralisation capacity, the processes of proteolysis, ammonification, nitrification and denitrification. With regard to the capacity of organic matter decomposition and mineralisation in the soil, significant negative effects were recorded only in the soil samples treated with Curzate 50 WP (3 kg/ha) and Curzate 50 WP + Dithane M-45 (0.25 kg + 1.5 kg/ha) in the first two days after the treatment only. None of the fungicides tested had a negative effect on proteolytic and ureolytic organism. The multiplication ability of ammonifying organisms is negatively by all fungicides except Curzate 50 WP. The first stage of nitrification is influenced negatively by all tested products, but to a different extent. A total inhibition of over 91 days after treatment was recorded in the variant treated with Curzate 50 WP + Dithane M-45. The second stage of the nitrification process is totally inhibited for more than 40 days after the treatment by the mixture containing Curzate 50 WP + Dithane M-45. Denitrification is affected by all tested compounds, more evident effects being caused by Ridomil plus 50 WP and CO.
