Evaluacion del comportamiento agronomico de cinco hibridos de tomate, lycopersicon esculentum Mill, tipo larga vida, bajo condiciones de cubierta en el municipio de Silvania, Cundinamarca.

Con el proposito de analizar el comportamiento agronomico de cinco materiales de tomate, Lycopersicon esculentum Mill, tipo larga vida, se realizo el presente trabajo bajo condiciones de invernadero abierto, en el Centro de Estudios para la Conservacion Integral de la Ladera, CECIL, ubicado en el municipio de Silvania, Cundinamarca. Los cinco hibridos escogidos pertenecen a la casa SUNSEEDS y son los siguientes: Cronos, Dynamo, Expo, Gloria y Phillipos. Ellos constituyeron los cinco tratamientos con tres repeticiones en un diseno de bloques completos al azar con muestreo. Durante el experimento se midieron las siguientes variables: 1, dias a floracion, 2, dias a cosecha, 3, numero de frutos por racimo, 4, numero de racimos por plantas, 5, numeros de racimos productivos por planta, 6, nimero de racimos producidos por semana, 7, peso promedio de fruta, 8, diametro ecuatorial promedio de fruto, 9, numero total de frutos por planta, 10, numero de frutos comerciales por planta, 11, numero de frutos no comerciales por planta, 12, incidencia en la pudricion apical, 13, rendimiento total, 14, rendimiento comercial, 15, rendimiento no comercial. Los materiales de mejores caracteristicas del experimento fueron los hibridos Cronos y Gloria, debido a que presentaron los mas altos rendimientos y el mejor peso promedio de fruto; el hibrido Gloria fue el preferido por tener el tamano mas grande de fruto y las mejores caracteristicas organolepticas. El hibrido Dynamo presento el mayor numero de frutos por racimo, de racimos por planta y de racimos productivos por planta, pero su tamano de fruto fue el menor de todos. Los hibridos Expo y Phillipos presentaron valores intermedios en la mayoria de las variables. Existe una estrecha relacion entre el diametro ecuatorial y el peso de fruto, al igual que entre el rendimiento total y el numero de frutos totales por planta. De otra parte, todos los hibridos presentan caracteristicas similares de precocidad. Todos los materiales se adaptaron bien a las condiciones ambientales del municipio de Silvania, pero Gloria y Cronos son los hibridos mas adecuados para obtener altas producciones.

英语. To analyze the agronomic characteristics of five long shelf life tomato materials, Lycopersicon esculentum Mill., a trial was conducted under glasshouse conditions. The trial was conducted at Studies Center for Integral Conservation of Slope, CECIL, in Silvania, Cundinamarca. The five hybrids of SUNSEEDS selected were: Cronos, Dynamo, Expo, Gloria and Phillipos. These materials were arranged in a Completely Randomized Block Design with three replications. During the experiment the following variables were measured: 1, flowering time, 2, harvesting time, 3, number of fruits per cluster, 4, number of clusters per plant, 5, productive number of clusters per plant, 6, number of clusters produced per week, 7, average fruit weight, 8, equatorial diameter average of the fruit, 9, total number of fruits per plant, 10, commercial number of fruits per plant, 11, non comercial number of fruits per plant, 12, blossom end rot incidence, 13, total yield per plant, 14, commercial yield per plant and 15, non commercial yield per plant. Cronos and Gloria hybrids were the materials that showed the best characteristics of the experiment. They showed the highest yields and the best average fruit weight; Gloria hybrid was prefered for its great fruit size and for its great appearance. Dynamo hybrid showed the highest number of fruits per clusters, number of clusters per plant and number of productive clusters per plant. Expo and Phillipos hybrids showed intermediate values in most variables. There is a close relationship between the equatorial diameter and the weight of the fruit; It is a close relationship between the total yield per plant and the total number of fruits per plant. In other respect, all materials have an homogeneous flowering; it means they can be gathered at the same time. All hybrids showed good adaptability to the growing conditions al Silvania, but Gloria and Cronos hybrids had the highest yields.
