Complex laboratory research was undertaken to study the effect of propioconazol (Tilt 250EC) on saprophytic fungi and the course of microbiological processes in soil. It was found that both tested doses of propiconazol (the field one and the one 10-times larger) did not influence the total number of saprophytic fungi or the development of amylolytic, cellulolytic or proteolytic fungi in the brown soil. The tested doses caused, however, a temporary inhibition of biochemical processes connected with the circulation of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus.
