This study was conducted to investigate the effect of different temperature before and after cutting on the characters related to regrowth, forage quality and yield of sorghum-sudangrass hybrid. Plant height, number of tiller, stem diameter, leaf area, root weight per plant and T/R ratio improved at 27deg C before and after cutting. Increase of carbohydrate content reserve in the stubble was higher at 27deg C and 31deg C than 19deg C and 23deg C before and after cutting. Crude protein and crude ash content increased at low temperatures, while crude fiber content decreased. There were positive correlation between temperature and cell wall constituents. The degree of contribution of major characters to dry matter weight was high in plant height and stem diameter at 19deg C, plant height and number of leaves at 23deg C, leaf area and stem diameter at 27deg C and plant height at 31deg C before and after cutting, respectively. The dry matter weight and digestible dry matter weight increased with the increase of temperature before and after cutting, but in vitro dry matter digestibility decreased. Practical regrowth at 19deg C before and after cutting was not shown.
