An investigation on 18 calves at the age between 1 and 4 months was carried out. The content of erythrocytes, leukocytes, haemoglobin, total protein, glucose, cholesterol, Ca, P, Mg, Na, K, Zn, Cu, Fe, AspAT, ALAT, and AP as well as hematocrit value in blood was determined. The usefulness of the blood metabolic profile for evaluation of mineral balance in calves has been concluded.
