Folic acid in neurology, psychiatry, and internal medicine.
1979
Botez M. I. | Reynolds Edward Henry
Folic acid deficiency has neurological and psychiatric, as well as nutritional, implications. In many parts of the world, folate deficiency probably is the commonest of all vitamin deficiencies. Moreover, there is increasing evidence linking it to a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders including psychiatric states and to nervous system metabolism and function. Basic and clinical studies are presented by research scientists and clinicians working on nervous system aspects of folate metabolism.
