The Giurgiu District territory is divided in three regions and six agroecopedological subregions, respectively. These unites are clearly different concerning the land capability and soil suitability, limiting factors of agricultural land use, soil improvement requirements and crop rotation. Evaluation of the whole district territory by suitability ratings provides yields similar to those planes or even greater.
