On the basis of the result of the study, it was concluded that significant changes in the structure of applied labour and resources occured in Yugoslavia, in the social sector of agriculture, and especially in cereal production. Current labour is relatively reduced while the portion of past labour increased in each product in cereal production, and especially wheat production. Qualitative changes occured in economic conditions of income earning. Such conditions enable income increases, depending on the degree of economizing with current (live) labour and on the level of appropriate and rational utilization of individual elements of past labour. Significant differences in the relative presence of past and currant labour occurred at the achieved level of cereal production industrialization.
