The program uses the story of a young Latino woman working with her nutritionist and husband-to-be to achieve a good pregnancy by learning how to cope with common pregnancy symptoms, manage weight gain and avoid drugs and alcohol. The novela provides role models for positive lifestyle changes and is an excellent tool for teaching good, simple nutrition to all Latino families and as a supplement to pre-natal nutrition classes.
