Nutrition knowledge of a sample of university-employed men.

A test to determine nutrient knowledge and its relationship to age, educational level, and participation in 3 food-related activities was administered to 100 men employed at a large university. The test was comprised of 280 items in 46 clusters. Findings indicated that subjects had some knowledge of general nutrition, but more limited knowledge about sources and function of specific nutrients. Major sources of nutrition information were newspapers, magazines or mass media. Most subjects said they would like to know more about nutrition. (kbc).
