In the years 1980-1981 investigations were carried out in order to estimate the persistence of some anti cryptogamies, in a vineyard of Latium, in function of two grapevine growing methods. It seems that the different degree of foliage cover can affect the persistence of residues only in the case of heavy rainfall; in any way the results are not easily foreseeable for the concurrence of many other climatic factors.
