The article deals with the analysis of the LUA research work. The most active departments in their research work are mentioned. The motivation for post graduate studies and the main subsistence means of post graduate students are discussed. Distribution of Doctors habil. and Doctors in age groups is given. The number of Doctors habil. and Doctors and the number of their post graduate students awarded Dr. degree are analysed. The financing problems of the research work are considered.
