A three and two dimensional virtual model was developed for the transient heat transfer in maize grain. The model assumed a homogeneous field continuum specified by thermal properties. The LUSAS solver for finite element solution was used. The model was specified by using a suitable solving scheme regarding the solution stability and accuracy. The transient thermal transfer resulting from the solution was in close agreement with the experiment that was performed in an air-conditioned room. The sensitivity number for model parameters was examined to find the most critical property for solution accuracy.
