The study is focused on farmland as an object of selling-purchasing and aimed at substantiating the main directions of developing economic mechanism of farmland market in Ukraine. As a result, a principle model is created of economic mechanism of functioning and controlling the farm land market. Recommendations are worked out on farmland transfers and methodology of organizing and conducting farmland selling-purchasing operations on a competitive basis. The results of the research are used in developing legal documents. The field of application - agricultural and rural legislation, and land relations.
