Neutralizing antibody to Bovine ephemeral fever (BEF) in cattle and buffaloes obtained from field survey (1982) of the Southern Veterinary Diagnostic Center were first examined in HmLu-1 cell with YHL strain virus. 70 % of cattle sera from 11 provinces and 47.5 % of buffalo sera from 4 provinces were detected. It is considerable that BEF was existed in the Southern part of Thailand.
