Tannia breeding [Caribbean].
1984
O'Hair S.K.
A breeding programme for disease resistance is proposed based on the collection and screening of 'wild' germplasm from local sources and centres of diversity, and related species. The development of a reliable screening technique is essential, preferably a laboratory method. Several clones have been suggested as having some level of resistance: a yellow-fleshed, a pink-fleshed, and a rough-skinned white-fleshed type.
