<3-61> type sterile strain was an <S> type and <310> type sterile strain was a <C> type, the latter was stronger in disease resistance and sterile stability than the former. During the period of breeding <C> type sterile strain, we noticed the late break in its cytoplasm according to the introduced strains and the first and last generations of the breeding. The sterile cytoplasm of maize did not give a negative influence against its yield and the yield components.
