Eight lines outyielded the others which were then subjected to further adaptability trials. These lines were coded as V6, V8, V33, A7, V13, and C21. They were evaluated using agronomic characters such as a number of productive tillers, length of panicles, number of grains per panicle, plant height and grain weight RC4, a PhilRice variety was used as a check variety. The four trials showed that the lines differed in the agronomic characters considered including yield. Among the lines, A7 obtained the highest in yield of 10.90 t/ha from the last three croppings. This was followed closely by V33 and A6 which obtained an average of 10.10 t/ha and 9.46 t/ha, respectively. Differences though were not significant. Insect pest and disease monitoring showed no significant effects to the yield as they were minimal in all lines considered. The eight considered lines showed to be at par with the commercial variety under Manresa condition and are very promising lines to consider for farms similar to Manresa condition.
