The current methods employed in the control of agricultural slug pests will be reviewed. Emphasis will be placed on an integrated approach involving changes in agricultural practice and moluscicidal usage. Current developments in the biological control of slug pests will be assessed. The use of monoclonal antibody tracking techniques in the construction of food nets will be described and the potential of the method for identifying egg deworming predators will be explored.
