Entre les genotypes on constate une grande variabilite pour la photosynthese chez le mais ainsi que des relations positives entre la photosynthese et la production du mais grain. En selectionnant sur cette base on peut creer des hybrides precoces du mais d' une haute capacite de photosynthese.
