The possibility to obtain programmed yields of potatoes grown on soddy-podzolic soil, using fertilizer rates calculated by means of balance coefficients for applying nutrient elements and their combination with pesticides and retardants used in practice, was studied. Variants of combining fertilizers with other means of chemicalization which allow to increase potato yield, to obtain more starch per hectare and high quality produce have been found.
