The Prucal software program is designed to assist the user with planning and evaluating diets (one to three days) according to prudent guidelines. This program evaluates dietary intake of nineteen nutrients including saturated and polyunsaturated fats. Prucal can be used by individuals ages 11 to adult. The user's guide contains a Food Code list of 2000 menu items. Included in this list are a wide variety of fast foods, combination main and side dishes, and common recipe ingredients. Individual goals can be determined based on age, sex, height, frame size, and activity level. Prucal operates on an IBM PC, XT, AT or compatible computer.
