For second season crops, yield and yield components of groundnut, mungbean and soybean which are grown after the same species were not significantly different between treated and untreated plots. Corn yield from groundnut-corn cropping pattern was not different between treated and untreated either. But from mungbean-corn and soybean-corn patterns, corn yields from treated entries were higher than that of untreated. From the third crop, yield of corn from groundnut-groundnut-corn pattern without fertilizer application was highest but not significantly different from corn yield in groundnut-groundnut-corn and groundnut-corn-corn patterns with fertilizer application. Corn yield from groundnut-corn-corn patterns without fertilizer application was lowest. Corn yields from mungbean-mungbean-corn and soybean-soybean-corn without fertilizer application were not different from mungbean-corn-corn and soybean-corn-corn with fertilizer application. However, the application of fertilizer could increase the number of kernel per ear of corn in comparing with the untreated plot.
