Rainfall and water yields of three small forested catchments in north-east Victoria, and relation to flow of local rivers.
1986
Bren L.J. | Leitch C.J.
The observations were designed to test the rationale of small-catchment research: that small catchments in the same environment will respond similarly to meteorological inputs, and that responses of the larger catchments in the area will at least not be dissimilar. The results generally support the theory, although two of the three small catchments showed evidence of water loss as compared to the third; and correlations with larger catchments were at best a long-term relation with significant seasonal variation.
