Nutrient utilization under restricted feeding regime in cattle.

Twelve male crossbred cattle were divided into three groups of four animals in each. One group was kept on NRC requirement while second was fed 3/4 and third group 1/2 of the requirements on alternate days. DCP and TDN content of rations were 2.71, 2.41, 2.20, 50.75, 54.52 and 50.09% in respective groups. Dry matter intake, nutrient digestibilities and body weights were decreased in the third group. However, these differences were not statistically significant.
