Growth and live weight (up to the age of 168 days) of 411 rabbits of the New Zealand White (Nb) breed, wild rabbit (D) and their crossbreds (F1, F2, B) were investigated. Results based on two-factor analysis of variance indicate a non-significant sex effect on growth in the greater part of ontogenetic stages and a highly significant genotype effect in all observed postnatal growth stages. Growth dynamics of individual generations by means of Lehman growth function was also evaluated. The growth curve course of the generation B tends to the original parent populations with a higher share of regressive crossbreds in the genotype.
