Studies on plant numbers per hill of okra were conducted at the Dept. of Horticulture, Kasetsart University, Kamphaengsaen campus. Total seed yield did not show significant differences in any treatment, e.g. one plant, two plants, three plants and four plants per hill, seed yield increase will be ranging from 801.8 grams to 1,132.4 grams per 6 square meters. The treatment of four plants per hill gave the highest seed yield. The width and the number of branches of one and two plants per hill were found significantly different from three and four plants per hill. The other plant horticultural characters, such as height, total pod number, total pods on the branches, number of pods on main stem, the width and length of pods, number of seed per pod, sed size, one hundred seed weight and germination percentage did not show significantly differences in all treatments.
