The studies indicate that significant source amending soils with organic substances and nutrients can be unconventional organo-mineral fertilizer produced from brown coal and peat. This fertilizer applied to very light soils increased the total content of organic carbon and improved soil reaction and sorptive properties of the soil. This evidenced by increases in the sum of basic cations, cation exchange capacity and the degree of base saturation.
