All-mash DKM feed was preserved by addition of the chemical preparations produced on the basis of sorbic and propionic acids: Alfaban - 0.1%, Mold ban - 0.1%, Luprosil - 0.3% and NC Luprosil - 0.5%. The addition of Alfaban had a considerable effect on growth of body weight of chicks for 6.9% as well as on utilization of fodder for 4.5%. The preservation of mixtures by using Luprosil and NC Luprosil improves the growth of chickens for 4.1 - 5.4% and reduces the use of fodder for 4.5 - 3.6%. Mold ban proved unimportant considering the small dose. The meat of chickens fed on preserved fodder contained more ash and the PH was more neutral.
