Studies on seed transmission of the most virulent isolate (marigolds isolate) on different stages of flowering indicate that this isolate could be transmitte through seed at different percentages, ranged from 61-100%. It was mostly present in pericarp but could infect deeply into the embryo. when seed transmission occured, marigold" isolate could cause seed rot, spots, blight and damping off on seedlings, and infections was recorded nearly 100% under favorable conditions especially at high humidity.
