In November 1988, on a logging unit in an uneven-aged beech stand on the locality Zajcica near Uzicka Pozega (Yugoslavia) the stumps were treated with 15% water solution of the preparative CIDOKOR. Depending on time after felling when the treatment was done, five groups of stumps were established. In 1989, at the end of vegetation period, on the basis of the analysis of the number and the height of shoots, one can conclude that the best results were obtained when the treatment was made the same day after felling. Poorer results were obtained when the treatment was done one, two and three days later. If the treatment was done four days after felling, the effect was quite unsatisfactory, so the last term should be avoided.
