Multiple cropping is one of the many methods of increasing crop production and income of farmers. In multiple croppine, productin planning has to be set up carefully in advance otherwise high production efficiency cannot be achieved. One important factor that affects farmer's decision making in production plannig is the production goal of farmers. The objectives of this study are : (1) to study the economic condition and production goals of farmers in Tambon Bangpae, Amphoe Bangpae, Ratchaburi Province; (2). to find the most appropriate cropping pattern that will satisfy farmers' goals and utilize farmers' limited resources efficiently; and (3) to formulate production policy for farmers in the study area and other farmers with similar conditions. The results of the optimum solution for production planning of small representative farm are: (1) 1.5 rai are used in glutineous corn-transplant rice-local mungbean pattern, 16.0 rai in transplant rice pattern; (2) 434.23, 455.74 and 267.01 manhours of family, hired, and exchanged labor, respectively, are required in the production : (3) 4,288.67 baht of cash cost is used in the production; (4) net return is 16,219.57 baht. The results of the optimum solution for production planning of medium representative farm are: (1) 1.1 rai are used in M7A mungbean-transplant rice-local mungbean pattern, 17.4 rai in local mungbean-transplant rice-M7A mungbean pattern, and 27.75 rai in broadcast rice pattern; (2) 831.44 and 153.38 manhours of family and exchanged labor, respectively, are required in the production; (3) 4,774.48 baht of cash cost is used in the production; (4) net return is 58,743.19 baht. The results of the optimum solution for productin planning of large representative farm are: 10.0 rai are sused in glutinous corn-transplant rice-local mungbean pattern, 3.36 rai in local mungbean-transplant rice pattern, and 30.0 rai in broadcast rice pattern; (2) 1,463.53, 155.24 and 339.01 manhours of family, hired and exchanged labor, respectively, are required in the production; (3) 8,747.34 baht of cast cost is used in the production; (4) net return is 87,822.93 baht.
