Pymetrozine has, under natural conditions, no side-effects on bumblebees (Bombus terrestris L.) used as pollinators in greenhouse crops. The selective product against aphids and whiteflies is compatible with integrated pest management in greenhouses and its classification under the toxicity category 3 (products which may be applied in the presence of bumblebees) is justified.
