The effect of time of application of 25 ppm napthalene acetic acid to soybean plant was studied. A single application of 25 ppm NAA as foliar spray was made when the plant was 2, 5 and 7 weeks old. Triple applications of total dose of 25 ppm NAA was made at three growth stages i.e., 2, 5, 7 weeks successively. The results showed that a single application of NAA to a 2 weeks soybean plant stimulated juvenile growth irritated pod set and resulted in 5 percent yield increase. A foliar spraying of NAA to soybean plant at 7 weeks after planting gave lower pod setting compared with the application of NAA 2 weeks after planting. Yield of soybean and oil content increased by 8 percent and 19 percent respectively, but the starch content tended to decrease. Three successive spraying of NAA to soybean plant gave no difference on yield obtained compared to a single application of NAA, but protein in soybean seed would increase slightly.
