Plant height, leaf area index, dry matter, and total dry matter of Burirum variety were higher. However, the water application rates had direct effect to vegetative growth of the sesame varieties. At the maximum quantity of water (within the 0-5 meter strip), plant height, leaf area index, dry matter and total dry matter were higher tha the medium and low water application strips, respectively. Leaf water potential increased when water application increased. Seed yield increased when water application was increased. All yield components and harvest index were significantly increased when water application increased, except pods per plant. Comparison between varieties showed that Barirum variety have better growth than 10-53 variety.
