英语. Productivity of rainfed lowland can be increased by increasing crop intensity, improving crop production system and choosing appropriate crop in one year cropping pattern. A field experiment to evaluate different cropping systems on rainfed lowland was conducted at Kalirejo, Ngraho, Bojonegoro during the growing season in 1991/1992. The experiment used Randomized Block Design with three replications. Four cropping cropping patterns were evaluated: (A) farmer practice, (B) farmer pattern with improving technology, (C) alternative cropping pattern with improved technology, (D) alternative cropping pattern with farmer technology, were evaluated. The treatment was implemented on original size of farmer's field. The research showed that introduced cropping pattern, using gora rice-'walik jerami' rice-soybean with improved technology gave equivalent rice yield 16,99 t/ha; with yield index 163 percent; net profit Rp 474.534,00; and MBCR 1,78. This result was higher farmer farming systems practice (maize-rice-soybean). This pattern was feasible technically and economically to the farmer in this areas. The introduction cropping pattern can be implemented as an alternative to improve the traditional/farmer's cropping pattern in this area.

Penelitian lapang untuk menguji beberapa paket usahatani yang sesuai dengan kondisi agroekosistem setempat telah dilakukan di lahan petani di Desa Kalirejo, Kecamatan Ngraho, Kabupaten Bojonegoro dari MH 1991/1992 hingga MK 1992. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas 4 macam pola tanam, yaitu (A) pola petani dengan teknologi petani; (B) pola petani dengan teknologi anjuran; (C) pola introduksi dengan teknologi anjuran; (D) pola introduksi dengan teknologi petani. Setiap perlakuan ditempatkan di sawah milik petani seluas sekitar 0,05 ha.
