Consumer nutrition concerns and restaurant choices. v. 1. Summary.
1986
The National Restaurant Association conducted a survey to assess consumer attitudes towards health and nutrition, and to determine how these attitudes reflect their eating habits away from home. Four separate consumer groups were discovered in the survey: 1) traditional consumers (38%); 2) weight conscious consumers (28%); 3) health conscious consumers (19%); and 4) uncommitted consumers (12%). This report represents volume I of the survey; it presents a summary of the survey findings. For futher information, volume II provides detailed tables of the results of the study.
