La salinidad del suelo y la tasa de crecimiento de seis variedades de cana de azucar.
1995
Villafane R.
The salt tolerance of six varieties of sugar cane was studied in field during the dry months of 1995, using irrigation waters with different amounts of NACl and CaCl2, to obtain four salinity treatments and two sodicity treatments. The difference of cane length obtained among six and seven months of age was compared to each mean contain of salt and sodium overtook in the soil. Varieties SP 711401, B 64129 and CP 711210 showed greater salt tolerance and varieties PR 692176, B 75403 and CP 711210 exhibited greater sodium tolerance. The varieties with smaller sodium tolerance were those displaying greater calcium contain in leaf for treatment number 3, suggesting relation among sodium tolerance and calcium requirements.
