A method is presented for estimation of evapotranspiration and its components from agricultural fields using the data of standard observations of meteorological, actinometric and agrometeorological stations as well as the (LAI) leaf area index. A method is described for determining LAI of spring wheat crops at different levels of observation data depending on crop condition as registered by agrometeorological stations. An error in calculating evaporation is estimated as being dependent on the method of determination of LAI. Evapotranspiration and its components are estimated as a function of LAI.
