This paper deals with the aspects of semi-intensive monoculture of the Giant Freshwater Prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii de Man). High level of pond management produces good yields. In ponds where the stocking density is greater than 5 prawn/m2 the use of paddle wheel is necessary to provide additional aeration. The technique of staggered harvesting increase the pond production. Experimental errors faced while running the experiments are discussed.
