The present investigation was taken up to study the effect of season, year, sex, genetic group, haemoglobin and transferrin type, age and weight of dam at lambing on pre-weaning body weights of Gaddi sheep and their halfbreds with Rambouillet and Russian Merino. The effect of the age of dam at lambing was nonsignificant on pre-weaning body weights. However, the effect of dam's weight at lambing was significant. In general, ewes with higher body weights at lambing produced heavier lambs than those with lighter weights and the difference was significant in most of the cases.
