An experiment on Black-and-White bulls fattened from 171 up to 450 kg of body weight was carried out. Maize harvested in 3 different developmental stages was chopped in short or long chopped and ensiled. The silage dry matter content was related to plant developmental stages. Negative correlation between the silage dry matter content and feed dry matter intake in bulls was observed. No effect of chaff particle size on bull fattening performance was stated.
