Among the eight factors subjected to partial correlation analysis age, education, family size, cane production knowledge and credit utilization were found to be positively correlated; land holding size negatively correlated; and the remaining two variables i.e. number of information sources and levels of extension contact were found to have no relationship with adoption of improved cane production technologies among the growers of Rangpur Sugar Mills, Bangladesh. Multiple regression analysis showed that the variables age, family size, and levels of cane production knowledge contributed significantly and positively to the adoption while land holding size contributed negatively. Cane production knowledge of the growers alone contributed more than the total contribution of other three significant contributants. All the factors have jointly explained 87.09% of the total variance which is also highly significant.
