Comparison of association of lentil characters in normal and late sowing conditions [Lens culinaris].

This paper describes the association between yield and its contributing traits for two seasons in normal and late sowing conditions. Plant height, primary and secondary branches, number of pods/plant and biological yield had strong positive and significant associations with seed yield in both normal and late sowing conditions. Correlations between number of seeds/pod and 100-seed weight, and between 100-seed weight and number of secondary branches, were negative in the first year and positive in the second year, indicating the effect of genotype x year interaction.
