The present trial was destined to find out whether it is possible to reduce the herbicides-amount of application by 50 per cent i.e. on the one hand with normal water and on the other hand on a basis of Carborain-C O2-water. The effects resulting from this in comparison with the full-application amount control, should be estimated. After the one year trial in summary one can say that in general the level of yield between half and full application amount did not vary substantially. Though the yield of each of the plots sprayed with C O2-water were higher than the comparable normal water plots. Far extremer was the comparison of the sugar content. The sugar content of the reduced normal plot was even below the one of the control. In comparison to that with the Carborain-water a higher sugar content by 5 per cent relative was achieved.
