A comparative study was made between complement fixation test and indirect ELISA in order to detect specific rotavirus antibodies. It was performed on 300 serum samples taken from 102 calves about 15, 45 and 135 days of life. Both test showed a similar efficacy in following the course of the infection, although ELISA was more sensitive in detecting rotavirus antibodies at 135 days of life.
