Based on monitoring the impact of different systems of fertilization and cabbage mulching with plastic foil on the dynamics of NO3-N in soil under the early cabbage, and their influence on the cabbage yield, the following conclusions can be drawn: Quantities of NO3 -N in the soil-the KSS system of fertilization in all treatments and on the land with and without the foil were higher compared to other systems of fertilization and control treatment. The highest amount of NO3-N in soil on the experiment with the cabbage without mulching with plastic foil was measured at treatment (3) 20 t/ha KSS, and in the experiment with mulching with plastic foil on the treatment (7) 20 t/ha KSS N55P55K105 kg/ha. The highest yield of cabbage in the experiment with mulching with plastic foil was achieved in the treatment (7) where is measured the highest amount of NO3-N in the soil at the time of formation of leaf rosettes, indicating a dependence between yield and the dynamics of nitrate in the soil. On treatment (2) only ZGS fertilizer is used, and it was achieved significantly lower yield compared to all the systems and fertilization treatments in comparison to control. The amount of NO3-N measured in soil at the stage of complete formation of leaf rosettes were positively correlated with the level of cabbage yields in all fertilization treatments except the treatment (2) where the measured quantities of nitrates and cabbage yield were significantly lower than the control.
