In order to perform agricultural operations, pats and mechanism of agricultural machines move, rotate, etc. Rotary parts have great velocities, much greater then human capability of reaction in case of contact. Further, parts of machines work with great forces and moments which are potentially sources of danger for operators. If operator of agricultural machines is not properly trained, from aspect of his security, injures and death often occurs. Most common injures are: broken bones, contusion, burns, fissures, hearing damage, damage of nervous system and similar. Manufacturers or machines, produce them to be safe for using. However, because of work nature which agriculture machines perform, it is not always possible to satisfact all security demands. Beside that, when maintaining these machines workers can damage protecting coat or not put them back in proper position. Main goal of this paper is to analyze sources of danger on most common agricultural machines (tractors, combine harvesters, different implements...) and ways to protect operations from injuries. After insight in conditions of agricultural machinery in territory of AP Vojvodina (Serbia), it can be concluded that various number of them is not safe for work. Beside that, operators are not trained enough and they do not have necessary certificates which also can cause injuries. Injuries caused by agricultural machines are not systematically register, instead of that they are counted in hospitals. This paper illustrates conditions of agricultural machines from aspect of security of use in Vojvodina. Possibilities of protection operators of agricultural machines are also presented. If operators of agricultural machines are well trained for safe and proper use and if existing laws and regulations are obeyed, most of injuries can be avoided.
