Modern apple production allows achieving high and stable yields. It involves the use of all necessary agro technical measures, irrigation, anti-hail and anti-frost protection. To achieve an average yield of apples of 45,41 tons / ha, it was necessary in this case to invest a total of EUR 54,271.87 per ha, including: the land preparation and orchard planting 34,745.91 EUR/ha (64,02%), the irrigation system 3,840.23 EUR/ha (7.08%), the anti-hail system 5,767.97 EUR/ha (10,62%) and the anti-frost system 9,917.76 EUR/ha (18.27%). In this way the risk involved in this production is reduced to a minimum. With this type of production the level of net income from 3,989.96 EUR/ha is achieved.
